Pre-Drywall Inspections

The goal of a pre-drywall inspection is to ensure that the house has been framed in accordance with applicable building codes and that the initial components of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems have been properly installed.  We also check to make sure that various components (joist hangers, manufactured framing members, etc.)  have been installed according to the installation instructions. Once the drywall has been installed many of these items are no longer visible and cannot be inspected.  We conduct our framing inspections in accordance with the rigorous standards of the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors "Protocol for Framing Inspection" included below.

Final Inspections

Many people think that they may not need an inspection on a newly completed home.  Unfortunately, we have never inspected a newly completed home without identifying multiple code violations and defects.  Most of our clients, their agents, and the builders are shocked at how many code violations we find.  It is especially important to have a new home inspected during a building boom like the one that Atlanta is currently experiencing because overall quality of construction will decline.  We have the certifications and insurance to meet the requirements of any builder in Atlanta.
